When I was about to make the transition from working-mama to stay-at-home-mom I had these grand visions of how clean the house would be and fresh meals everyday. Little did I know that having two little ones home with me all day - 24/7 - meant little time to clean up or cook whole meals.
Now, cleaning - that's a whole other story. But I can tell you a neat discovery I made. Tyson Skillet Creations. I already know and love Tyson because they have the yummiest chicken fingers and nuggets - Honey BBQ and Fun Shapes are two of our favorites. But these Skillet Creations sounded tempting.
At first I thought you added chicken or meat to them. Nope - I was completely wrong. Everything you need is already in the bag! Insane!
I bought Asian Style Orange Chicken to try. It has egg noodles and chicken with petite whole beans, diced red peppers, carrots and green onions in a tangy orange sauce. To cook I dumped the contents of the bag into a skillet with a little water ... and let it cook for about 10 minutes. The result was a meal with chicken and noodles. It couldn't have been simpler!
I definitely will have to check out some of the other Skillet Creations options! I know they Chicken Tuscany and Penne, which I really wanted to try! You can also find Grilled Chicken Fajitas and Steak Stroganoff with Noodles.
Just remember, the Asian Style Orange Chicken only serves two! If you are using this to provide a meal for more than two people, you will want to add more chicken, veggies and noodles. I would prefer a chicken slice with less fat on it... I like my meat lean.
BUZZWORTHY: Skillet Creations Meal Kits have 45 percent less sodium than their previous frozen meal kits and less sodium than many of their key frozen meal kit competition competitors.
