Wearing Bright Lips

Friday, August 28, 2009

I love the look of bright lipstick on models in magazines, but I never felt like I could pull it off. So Christina Bartolucci, a make-up artist and founder of DuWop, has provided me (and you!) with some great tips to pull it off when you are feeling daring!

Wearing Bright Lips
from Cristina Bartolucci, founder of DuWop

1. The key to wearing bright lips is to take a touch of the color and blend it into your cheeks as blush. Just a touch! This will brighten your whole face and make the lip color look more like it belongs.

2. Instead of painting or drawing it on, always use your finger or a brush to press the color into your lips like a stain. This will ensure that itdoesn’t look like too much.

3. Keep your eye makeup simple but don’t forget mascara or the eyes will get really overpowered.

Christina Bartolucci, a California girl, is not all about business. When she isn’t beautifying the world one face at a time, she’s at home beautifying the lives of her two little girls, Ruby and Eva, and her husband Tom.

LOL My aunt always used lipstick as her blush, but first she applied Noxzema skin cream to her cheeks. I always thought she was just cheap, not fashion conscious!!
